Pine River Backus meeting
Today we had a great "working" meeting at the Backus City Hall. Working on our interventions is underway! We focused on the Local Condition: Youth have access to alcohol in the home.
Here are some of the interventions we will be working on:
Parent packets will be assembled and distributed throughout the community. These packets will include legal and health risk information on alcohol tobacco and other drugs. A presentation at a PTO meeting will be given. We also will be planning a dinner for our Teens Leading The Way families to give them a sense of what their teens will be working on in the upcoming year and to gain their support in our efforts. Also, we are looking ahead to Parent Teacher Conferences-Check back soon for more information on our "Hidden in Plain Sight" display.
